You know, I used to think that this whole blogging thing was really stupid. Why would anybody want to know what's going on in my head? Nobody seems to care the rest of the time, so what would make posting my thoughts on the internet any different, right? Well, I finally decided that it doesn't matter what people online think about me, because they most likely don't even know me. And that's when it hit me. It always seems to be people that "know me" who don't care what I have to say, so maybe, you random people out there who happened to stumble upon my blog who are without any kind of bias towards me, might actually care what I have to share. Now that that is out of the way, I want to explain my goals for this blog.
Being a junior in high school, I am quickly nearing the time when I will have to pack up my things and take on the world on my own. In the mean time, I have a lot to do and learn before that time comes. Academically, there will be SATs, ACTs, AP Exams, applying to colleges, homework, studying, and so much more. But in the sphere of preparing to be out on my own, I will be preparing to cook on my own, make things for myself, and just overall learning how to do things for myself. In a nutshell, I want this blog to be about my struggles and successes in school, personal things that I just need to vent about, trips that I go on (since I will be taking off to go to Europe for two weeks in April), DIY activities that I do in spare time, recipes that I try (especially since I am starting a vegan diet this upcoming week), and all the other things that come with being a teenage student.
I hope that my life isn't too boring for you and that you enjoy growing up with me in the next year and a half.
Best Wishes, Michaela
